GTA V Flight School: City Landing Lesson
Welcome back to the channel for the fourth video in our series on the San Andreas flight school lessons in Grand Theft Auto V. In this lesson, we will cover the City Landing exercise, which ultimately ends up being an emergency beach landing of a rather large plane.
The Importance of Small Corrections
In this exercise, the weather conditions are not fantastic, so it can be tempting to make big adjustments to keep the plane level and in control. However, it is important to make small corrections and avoid rolling the plane as much as possible. Using the left and right rudders, as well as small corrections with the left stick (on a controller) can help keep the plane level.
Engine Failure and the Marker Lines
After passing through the first marker, there will always be an engine failure, but it does not significantly affect the plane. The second marker is where you should line yourself up for the third. Again, try to avoid rolling the plane too much and use the left and right rudders for small corrections.
Getting to the Finish Line
When approaching the last marker, do not line yourself up with it as there is no penalty for missing it. Instead, line yourself up with the finish line, while getting the gear down last (G button on a keyboard). Keep the plane level and drop it as late as possible. Try to land at the 10-meter mark for the best score.
Tips and Tricks
It may take several attempts to get the landing right, but practice makes perfect. What is your best score for the City Landing exercise? Do you have any tips or tricks for other players? Share your thoughts and strategies in the comments below.
