GTA Flight School: Moving Landing
Welcome back to our Grand Theft Auto 5 video series! This is our fifth video in the San Andreas Flight School series, where we will be discussing the “Moving Landing” task. In this task, we will be attempting to land a helicopter on the back of a semi-trailer. It may sound like an easy task, but it is much harder than it seems.
Task Briefing
Before we start attempting this task, let’s go through the briefing. The trick to this task is making small corrections with your left and right bumper buttons, which control your rudders. You need to be quick about it because everything happens very fast. To prepare for the landing, the key is to drop really quickly and try to get in early. When approaching the semi-trailer, don’t forget to drop your gear because it will help you align properly. Once you’re aligned, drop to the back and then roll in towards the front.
Task Execution
Executing this task may sound simple, but it does take quite a bit of practice. We won’t tell you how many times we went through this before we hit the gold medal. The key is to make small adjustments and not overcorrect when you’re close to the trailer. Dropping quickly and early will give you more time to adjust your landing. Once you’ve lined up with the trailer, make sure to drop your gear, which will help align your helicopter correctly. After that, it’s all about rolling towards the front of the semi-trailer and landing as smoothly as possible.
Tips and Tricks
As with any task in Grand Theft Auto 5, practice makes perfect. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t hit the gold medal on your first try. Keep practicing, and you’ll master this task soon enough. Here are some tips that might help you:
- Make small corrections with your left and right bumper buttons to adjust your rudders.
- Drop quickly and try to land early.
- Don’t forget to drop your gear to align your helicopter.
- Roll towards the front of the trailer smoothly.
