GTA 5 Contract DLC: Data Recovery Setup Walkthrough
In this video, we will walk you through the data recovery setup mission for the new contract agency DLC in Grand Theft Auto 5 or GTA 5, the massively popular video game from Rockstar. This mission is part of the ongoing updates to the online gameplay, offering new content and interesting things to do for players.
Before we start, we highly recommend tooling up, meaning you should get yourself some armor, a heavy automatic weapon, grenades, sticky bombs, and a parachute. After a few security contract contact missions and a quick round of golf with Dre, you will get a call from Franklin, prompting you to head back to the agency office. Here, after a near movie-length cutscene, you will be logging into your terminal and following some directions from Amani.
Next, head to the VIP contract item and click on the data recovery setup to start. You will be booted out of the building and straight into the chopper, where Franklin will talk to you for a bit before heading to the roof of the FIB building. Land on the roof, and once inside, head to the door on your left. This is the same as the bureau raid in story mode. Blow the door and head to the desk immediately through the door on the old rack blade. There’s a quick cut scene, and once you’re out of that, head to the front corner of the office and stay put until the installing bar is full.
Once the installation is complete, you’ll be prompted to steal a hard drive. Maneuver your way to the green spot on your mini-map and follow the on-screen prompt to grab the hard drive. The next part is the fun part where you’ll need to clear the room. We suggest using grenades to make it more interesting. Once you’ve cleared the office, head out to the balcony, go straight over the edge, and land safely. Then, you can either call in a chopper or grab a vehicle and make your way out of the area.
When your warrant clears, you’ll be prompted to head back to the agency, where you’ll get an “atta boy” from Franklin and be dropped back into free mode. Now, you can patch up and continue playing.
