Introduction
My name is Dan, and I’m an old grumpy gamer. Grand Theft Auto is a massive game, with constant updates from Rockstar for GTA online. There’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do. In this guide, we will look at the Mission Row police station variant of the asset recovery VIP work in GTA 5 online.
Process

Now, let’s get to the good stuff. This is a fantastic free mode mission that you can do whenever you have five minutes to spare. It’s a great way to net a quick 20 grand or so completely solo. This works in a standard online free mode session, or an invite-only lobby. Sadly, you can’t do this one solo or in a crew session.
One of the really neat things about the asset recovery mission is that it can be done without any purchases. But, before you get started, I highly recommend having full armor for your motorcycle. The next thing you need to do is register as a VIP of some description. Head to your interaction menu, then down to SecuroServ. Register as a VIP or register as a CEO and enter an organization name if prompted.
Once you’re good to go, head back to the interaction menu, then go to the first option, which is SecuroServer VIP or SecuroServ CEO VIP work asset recovery. Set the location to Mission Row police station. If that’s not available, hop on your bike and ride a bit further away. Finally, start. A new marker will appear on the map. Head on over, and once you get close, hang back a touch, and do a bit of an assessment. How’s the egress? Can we see any cops? Is there anything in the way? Most importantly, how can we get as close to the vehicle as possible without attracting attention?
The great news is while you’re not expressly on police property, the cops won’t be hostile. You can take your time with this one. Once you’ve earned your approach, which in this case is likely through the main gate next to the underpass, load your health and armor up and make your way in. Jump in the car, which will be unlocked, and then you can get rolling.
The getaway is the fun part. As tempting as it is to engage the cops, you really don’t want to. Just drive the route set out for you by the GPS. For the start of your run, you won’t even have to worry about losing them. Just avoid crashes as much as you can and try not to let them get beside you. If you get wasted, don’t worry too much. Just make your way back to the vehicle, jump in and get moving as quickly as you can. You’ve got time, so use it, and most importantly, don’t panic. In most cases, as you get closer to the drop-off point, the police will ease up a bit.
This is where we need to start keeping an eye on the warrant and the minimap. Once the stars start flashing, pay real attention to the cones of vision and work to evade them until your warrant is clear. Noting that it’s you that the cops are after, not the vehicle, so don’t be afraid to jump and hide if you get stuck in a spot. When you’re clear of the warrant, you’ll be prompted to head back to the drop-off. Once you’re done, you’ll get a cool 20 grand dropped into your account. Not bad for five minutes work. After that, you’ll have a bit of a cooldown, and you’re good to go again.
