GTA Online Weekly Update: Thursday, February 2nd, 2023
Rockstar released a new update for GTA Online on Thursday, February 2nd, 2023. The update tackled two major exploits on the PC version of the game – the Overflow exploit and account corruption exploit. The latest version of the game (version 1.66) fixed these exploits, and Rockstar also added new anti-bot measures to curtail message spammers. Corrupted accounts can now be reported and fixed through Rockstar Support Tech.
Despite these fixes, the public lobbies in GTA Online are still chaotic with reduced accounts and griefers trolling other players. Modders are not spoofing their usernames, which is a positive development. However, PC players are safe to play the game without fear of their accounts being compromised.
New Vehicles
This week’s prize ride is the Lifeguard SUV, and players can get it by placing in the top five for three days. The test rides for the week include the Sentinel Classic, the Monroe, and the Tropis Rally. The Monroe has a top speed of 122 miles (195 kilometers) and is worth taking for a spin around the track. Players can win the Stinger GT at the casino or buy it for 875 Grand.
Simeon’s Autos features the Everon penetrator, Bowler ST, Yuga Classic, and Tulip. The luxury Autos has the Cocaine D10 and Turismo R vehicles. Players can get a 50% discount on the Yuga Classic and a 30% discount on the Tropis Rally, the Tulip, and the Brocade 6×6. Complete the Dax Fleet Services mission for a chance to get the Brocade 6×6 for free.
Weekly Bonuses
Players can earn double money and RP in the Hasta La Vista adversary mode and 1.5 times the money and RP on Acid Lab stuff. The time trials for the week include Raton Canyon and the RC Bandito Time Trial for GTA Online. The construction site one is the time trial for this week.
Overall, the update seems lean this week, and the community will continue to be informed of any further updates as they arrive. A detailed guide for discounted items will be available later to help players decide whether to buy them. As always, stay safe and wash your hands.
