GTA 5 Weekly Update: Event Week – Double Money, Discounts, and More
If you are a fan of GTA 5 Online, then you should be excited about the new weekly update. This week’s event includes a ton of double money and RP bonuses and discounts on various items in the game. In this guide, we will cover everything you need to know about the GTA Online event week from Thursday, 21st April to Thursday, 28th April 2022.
Los Santos Car Meet Prize Ride
The Los Santos Car Meet is offering the Dinka Jester Classic as the prize ride for the week. This amazing sports car can hit top speeds of around 119mph or 192kmh and retails for around 790 grand, plus upgrades. To win it, you need to place first in a street race series for four days in a row. It’s pretty straightforward, so if you have the time, go for it.
This week’s test rides include the Enus Jubilee, the Vulcan Warrener HKR, and the Ubermacht Revolter. The Revolter is an absolute cracker, so if you’ve not tried it before, now is the time to take it for a spin.
If you’re on the next-gen, then this week’s HSW ride is the Fister Astron Custom. It has a top speed of 137mph or 220kmh, and with all the HSW kit, it’s worth around 1.7 million, plus upgrades.
Casino Podium Vehicle
This week’s casino podium vehicle is the Schlagen GT. It’s a great vehicle for sports car enthusiasts, with a top speed of around 125mph or 201kmh and a retail price of about 1.3 million.
The regular time trial starts in front of the Tonga Valley Stand in the middle of the map, with a par time of 58.8 seconds. This one’s easiest with a motorcycle, but if you don’t have one, you can always pick something up off the street or buy a Pegasi Body from Southern San Andreas Super Sports for 15 grand. If you complete the race, you’ll earn 100k, which pays for itself in one round.
The RC time trial starts near the construction site, with a part time of one minute and 50 seconds. If you have invested in the Bandito, then you’ll get a quick 100k.
Finally, if you’re lucky enough to have scored a next-gen console, the HSW special works vehicle is terminal with a part-time of four minutes and 15 seconds. But you’ll need an HSW vehicle to participate in this one, which could be expensive. Yet, you can do these time trials as many times as you like – just wait for the cooldown, which is one in-game day or 48 real-world minutes.
Double Money and RP Bonuses
One and a half times cash and RP are available for all sell missions for the MC businesses. Additionally, on the next-gen consoles, it’s 1.35 times. If you participate in the cross the line adversary mode, you will get four times cash and RP. HSW races for PS5 and Xbox XRs will earn you one and a half times RP, and the nightclub daily income will pay you one and a half times cash and RP. However, on the next-gen consoles, it is six times.
This week’s discounts include 30% off MC Clubhouses and CEO accommodations for purchase or renovations. On the other hand, the Pounder Custom has a 60% discount, and the bunker transportation has a 50% discount. The Patriot Stretch, Tropos Rallye, flash GT, and Turreted Limo have a 50% cut-off, and the Stafford has a 40% reduction. You can also get 40% off nightclub security upgrades and 30% off the SC1.
GTA Plus Benefits
Suppose you’re subscribing to GTA Plus. In that case, you’ll get access to the Devastate 8 early with some HSW upgrades, 500 grand of in-game cash, upgrades to the La Mesa Auto Shop, waived LS car meet membership, the ability for owners to upgrade to the Aquarius for free. Lastly, three times cash and RP on HSW special works race series and two times car rep on the street race series.
Note that we do not recommend subscribing to GTA Plus, and we’re encouraging players to avoid it.
This week’s stat challenge is to play a breath-holding underwater game. Of course, don’t do it in real life, but in the game. This challenge will increase your character’s lung capacity.
