Grand Theft Auto Online: December 22nd Weekly Update
It’s the holiday season and snow has arrived in Grand Theft Auto Online. Let’s take a look at the weekly update released on December 22nd and see what discounts and deals are worth checking out.
Vehicle Discounts
There are several vehicle discounts available this week, including the Vellum five-seater, Infernus classic, Taurus, Tailgater S, Armored Shafter V12, and Stromberg.
The Vellum five-seater tops out around 139 miles per hour and costs 30% less this week at $926,345. While it’s the most hated plane in the game due to being slow to respond and difficult to maneuver, if you’re a masochist, go for it. Otherwise, it’s not worth it.
The Infernus classic is a two-seater Sport classic that can reach about 118 miles per hour and will run you $645, discounted 30% from its original price of $915,000. It’s a quick and versatile Sports classic that pulls hard, making it worth the effort.
The Taurus is a four-seater SUV at 30% off for $348,600 instead of its original price of $498,000. With a top speed of 127 miles per hour and the ability to get up to speed quickly, the Taurus is a fast ride. However, due to its unfavorable handling, it doesn’t serve much of a purpose, so it’s not worth the effort.
The Tailgater S is a four-seater tuner that can reach approximately 115 miles per hour and costs 30% less this week at $1,046,500. It’s not a bad car, but it’s not great either, making it not worth getting.
The Armored Shafter V12 is a six-speed sedan that can reach about 123 miles per hour and is discounted 30% to $227,500 from its original price of $325,000. It’s versatile, has solid acceleration, and great handling, making it absolutely worth the effort.
The Stromberg, based on the James Bond Lotus, is a submersible Sports classic that can reach about 112 miles per hour and runs you $2,229,745, discounted 30% from its original $3,185,350 price. It’s a cool submersible vehicle with missiles that’s fairly quick and has reasonable handling. However, the Tory door has destroyed the market for it, so we recommend spending the extra money and purchasing that instead.
Weapon Discounts
This week’s discount on the Homing launcher is significant. Originally priced at $75,000, it’s now 50% off at $37,500. Though it has abysmal rate of fire and poor accuracy, when it hits, it hits hard, making it worth the effort.
The mw27 pistol is not yet reviewed, so we reserve judgment on that weapon for now.
Conclusion
This week’s update has several vehicle and weapon discounts worth checking out, but some are not worth the effort.
