Grand Theft Auto is a truly massive game. Between GTA 5 and the constant updates from Rockstar for GTA Online; there’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do.
Join me, then, in our continuing series, every damn business, in GTA 5 as we look at the Grand Theft Auto story mode business, the Car Scrapyard Business.
Before we dive in; if you’re new to the channel, we do How To Guides, News and Giveaways; So consider subscribing and ringing the bell, to stay up-to-date.
Car Scrapyard becomes available to purchase pretty early on, in story-mode; and can be purchased by Trevor, Michael or Franklin.
You can purchase Car Scrapyard for $275,000. As this is an semi-passive business, sort of.
Any cars destroyed in the Greater Los Santos region; nets you $150 per car. So after 1,834 destroyed cars to break even.
Sweet, you might think to yourself. It’s rampage time! I can easily destroy 100 cars in a short session.
Well, not so fast there. – your earnings cap-out at $5,000 per week.
With this in mind, it will still take around 55 weeks to hit break-even. And with each week being a little over 5.5 hours, that means you’re looking at a whopping 308 hours of gameplay; and that doesn’t even account for the cost of ammo!
So with that in mind, it’s probably not worth purchasing. 308 hours of game play is a lot; and unless you make a literal living from playing a single playthrough of story mode, there’s not a lot of chance you’ll ever see a return
