Should You Buy Hookies in GTA 5 Story Mode?
Grand Theft Auto is a truly massive game, with GTA 5 and constant updates from Rockstar for GTA online. There’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do, but today we’re focusing on the Grand Theft Auto story mode business, specifically the Hookies property.
After completing the Nervous Ron mission, Hookies becomes available for purchase in GTA 5 story mode. It can be purchased by Michael or Franklin, but is it really worth it?
The Math of Hookies in GTA 5 Story Mode
Let’s take a closer look at the numbers. You can purchase Hookies for $600,000 in the game. The default earnings are $4,700 per week, but each in-game day is roughly 48 minutes of real-world time. It takes about five and a half hours or a touch over to get a full week done.
Your break-even point is 128 weeks, which means you need to play for approximately 716 hours of gameplay to recover your investment. Is it worth it? Probably not.
Conclusion: Hookies in GTA 5 Story Mode
It’s clear that unless you make a literal living from playing a single playthrough of story mode, there’s not a lot of chance you’ll ever see a return on your investment. So, while Hookies may seem like an interesting property to own, it’s not a great investment in terms of earning money.
