GTA 5 Walkthrough: Mackenzie Airfield Arms Trafficking Air Mission – The Two-Side Airdrop
Grand Theft Auto 5 is a popular video game that offers a plethora of new content and interesting things to do, thanks to constant updates from Rockstar. In this GTA 5 walkthrough, we will discuss the Mackenzie Airfield Arms Trafficking Air Mission, known as the Two-Side Airdrop. Our goal is to help you complete the first story mode and maximize your earnings.
The first five air trafficking missions are one-time opportunities, and it is recommended that you take the time to get the bonuses and enjoy them. From mission six onwards, you only rotate between three standard drop missions. Our focus is on the two-side airdrop mission, which can be challenging to complete with all your bonuses intact.
Getting Started
Head around to the left of the cube, get on the wing, and as soon as you cut to the hangar, pull the stick and accelerator down and start banking off to the left. Once you pull up, throw your gear up straight away. The different controls for throwing gear, G on PC, or the left thumbstick on PS and Xbox.
The Cuban is a bit squirrelly under a couple of hundred feet, similar to the Vellum, but you will get used to it after some time.
The Two-Side Airdrop Mission
Once Oscar’s briefing is done, the marker becomes available. Line yourself up, and the focus here is low and slow flying over the targets. Keep the accelerator flat before easing off as you get close to the target, maintaining a low height of around 150 feet. Once the marker is over the top, hit the button for the drop, pull up, and bank right to line up for the next one.
The next drop is over the mountains, which may be a little bit of a trek, but it’s well worth the effort. The Cuban will eddy and squirrel as you get close to the mountains, so be careful not to causing an accident. Once you’ve lined up, fly low and stay flat out with the accelerator until you start your approach, then monitor the mini-map to ensure you’re over the target. Pull up and bank right to line up for the next drop.
Heading back to the airfield, avoid heading directly for the yellow dot. Instead, head to one side, preferably the far side, to line up with the runway. Come in nice and low, drop the gear and come over the trees without getting too close, and slow the Cuban down. Lastly, turn in as soon as possible, and the game will stop you automatically. As long as you don’t crash, you’re all good.
Conclusion
Completing the Mackenzie Airfield Arms Trafficking Air Mission – The Two-Side Airdrop can be a bit challenging, but every GTA 5 player should give it a try to maximize their earnings. It’s recommended that you take advantage of the first five missions to get all the bonuses before continuing to mission six onwards between standard three drop missions. With a time bonus of about three and a half minutes, you can still earn an extra 250, making it worth your while.
