How to Complete the East Joshua Road and Pistol Variant of the GTA 5 Arms Trafficking Ground Mission
In this video, Old Grumpy Gamer Dan takes us through the East Joshua Road and Pistol Variant of the Grand Theft Auto 5 Arms Trafficking Ground Mission. Grand Theft Auto is a massive game, and between GTA 5 and constant updates from Rockstar for GTA Online, there’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do.
The ground trafficking missions are a little different from others in that the destination rewards are fixed, but the group of enemies you’ll face seems to be randomly selected. While there’s no gold in this mission per se, it can be a little challenging to complete within a reasonable amount of time. Therefore, before starting, we highly recommend making sure Trevor has full armor, SMG ammo, and rifle ammo just in case something goes sideways.
Driving to the Location
As soon as we jump in the car, we’ll hear a little briefing. We’ll just quickly find the best way to get there. The vehicle is quite good off-road and lively, so you have to be careful about how you handle it. Sometimes the roads are a better way to get to the location, even though it may seem quicker to just go cross-country.
When you drive off-road, the vehicle will get a little bit squirrely and bouncy, but you don’t have to worry about the enemies who appear on-screen just yet. Instead, we should head off fairly soon and start moving as the crow flies. While it can be tempting to go cross-country, sometimes it’s better to stay on the trails than it is to just go over the hills and through the forests.
When we reach the flare, we’ll drive over the package, and since we went cross-country, we’ve lost the enemies, which makes it easier to complete the mission within a reasonable amount of time.
Dealing with Enemies
The enemies in these missions are a varied bunch, and you never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes you’ll encounter a group of enemies quite quickly, while other times you’ll have to wait for them to come to you. In this mission, we encounter the arms runners before reaching the yellow marker.
We’ll find a good spot to camp and wait for the enemies to come to us. This bridge is a bit of a choke point for them, so that means they have to come through that way, making it nice and predictable. We’ll then use trevor’s ability and take care of them promptly before jumping back in the car and heading towards the yellow marker, which signifies the end of the mission.
Summary
Completing the East Joshua Road and Pistol Variant of the GTA 5 Arms Trafficking Ground Mission can be challenging, but it’s doable with the right strategy. With careful driving and strategic use of Trevor’s abilities, you’ll be able to complete this mission within a reasonable amount of time. Overall, this mission rewards you with five grand in the bank and some extra pistol ammunition.
