GTA 5 Epsilon Institute Mission: Chasing the Truth Gold Walkthrough
In this video, we will show you how to get gold in the Grand Theft Auto 5 Epsilon Institute mission, Chasing the Truth. Grand Theft Auto is an incredibly captivating game, and with the constant updates from Rockstar for GTA Online, there is no shortage of new content and things to do.
Getting gold in this mission is quite straightforward, but it can be a pain to achieve the first time around. So, let’s dive in and take a closer look at how to accomplish it. But before we do, remember that if you’re new to the channel, we provide how-to guides, news, and giveaways, so consider subscribing and ring the bell to stay up to date.
Start the Mission and Use Third Person View
First things first, before you start this mission, ensure that you’re in third-person view. If you start the mission in first-person view, it will automatically demote you to silver or bronze.
Ping the TV and Avoid Using the Detector
Once you’ve seen the cutscene, the first thing you need to do is ping the TV. Here’s where it can get a bit tricky. You will need to sort of do a bit of a U-turn using the controls that allow you to see how the blue markers are scanning without actually using the scanner.
If you use the scanner, you’ll get an instant demotion down to silver or bronze. So, by keeping this angle rather than watching where you’re going, you can keep an eye on the number of bars that you have on the scanner to know if you’re going in the right direction.
You’ll have to listen for the sound while using this awkward camera view to make sure you’re on course. Keep an ear out for what’s going on, and try to keep a rough eye on the direction for full clarity. But don’t worry; the trick is to keep an eye on the blue markers without keeping an eye on the blue markers.
Find the Alien Artifacts
We’re getting close now. The first artifact is a TV. It’s around here somewhere; you need to keep following the blue markers’ direction without using the detector. The second one is a white box that looks like a small form factor PC or a UPS. Keep using the camera angle to keep an eye on the bars while listening for the sound to find the white box-like artifact.
The final artifact is an old boot. You’ll have to use the same technique used in finding the first two artifacts to find this one as well.
Achieve the Kifflom Trophy and Achievement
To earn a gold rating in this mission, make sure you avoid using the detector, as we just mentioned. Once you’ve found all three artifacts, that’s all you need to earn the Kifflom trophy and achievement.
Advanced Time by Six Hours to Spawn the Next Mission
The next mission will take a few in-game days to spawn. To speed things up, do a quick warp by going to bed and then exiting out, or you can save and exit, which advances time by six hours. You might need to do this a few times to spawn the next mission, but once you’ve got that funky little F on your screen, you’re good to go again.
Conclusion
In conclusion, getting gold in the Grand Theft Auto 5 Epsilon Institute mission, Chasing the Truth, is challenging but achievable using the above techniques. What do you think?
