GTA 5 Mission 77: How to Get Gold in the Gauntlet Pillbox Prep Mission
Grand Theft Auto is a massive game, with GTA 5 and the constant updates from Rockstar for GTA Online, offering no shortage of new content and interesting things to do. In this continuing series, we look at the GTA 5 mission Gauntlet Pillbox, the prep mission for the Big Score’s subtle approach, and explore how to get gold in every damn mission in GTA 5.
To get gold in this one, we need to grab the specific car pictured, spend over $17,000 in Los Santos Customs, and deliver the car in pristine condition. By the time we get to this point, we should have already received an email from Lester with location and a photo.
Getting the Precise Car
The first step is to acquire the specific car needed for the mission. The car can usually be found in a parking area. We then need to follow the GPS all the way back to Los Santos Customs; try not to smash the car on the way there, as repairing it will, in turn, reduce the amount we can spend on modifications to get the required $17,000.
Once at Los Santos Customs, we can start adding modifications to the car. The most expensive prep and enhancements will cost $20,000, so we can quickly spend the required $17,000 without any problems. Afterward, we return to the drop-off point; extra care needs to be taken during this stage as even a slight ding can result in not getting the all-important gold. Once the car is in the garage, the first of three gauntlets is dealt with.
Two More Gauntlets to Go
To complete the prep mission, we also need to pick up two more gauntlets, one in Mission Row and another in Rockford Hills. In the meantime, we managed to get the precise car we were after, without a scratch, and spent $24,000 on modifications, resulting in getting the gold.
