Getting gold in this one is pretty straightforward; we just need to make sure we don’t get detected, when stealing the Bugstar Van.
Know any neat mods we could use to do a bit more exploration in Lost Santos, or North Yankton? Leave your suggestions in the comments.
The player can have Michael enter through the front of the warehouse, but doing so causes the Bugstars employees to become aggressive.
If Michael has a weapon drawn, the employees will instead run away in fear, which instantly gives the player a two-star wanted level.
Michael will call Lester to advise that the van has been delivered, and then Lester informs Michael about the gas grenades and their location, automatically triggering the next heist setup.
About the Smart Heist Approach, for the mission, The Jewel Store Job
Depending on the chosen approach in Casing the Jewel Store, the start of the mission will play out in one of two ways: Loud Franklin drives Michael, the driver and the gunman to the jeweler’s in a van.
While the gunman holds the hostages, Michael and the driver start ransacking the store while Franklin waits outside with the bikes.
A poor driver will drop some of the jewelry, reducing the take to approximately $4.5 million.
Smart Driving from the garment factory in a Primo, Michael will drop Franklin off at the building site while the driver and gunman park the Bugstars van in front of the jeweler’s.
Michael, the driver, and the gunman will enter and start ransacking the store while Franklin goes to get the bikes.
He’ll give directions and carry dirt bikes if chosen, making driving in the tunnels easier. He’ll try to get all the jewellery in the Quiet method. Cut 14 per cent.
If selected, when fleeing, he won’t provide directions and would have to pause inside the tunnels to get his bearings (only if Norm was selected and dropped off his bike), and the street bikes he provides will be performing poorly in the mud. He’ll even miss some of the jewellery in the Quiet approach. Split of 8 per cent.
He will not lose any diamonds in the Smart approach if selected, and will not crash his bike. He will therefore keep the customers competently in check if the Loud approach is taken, and if you want Karim as the driver, he won’t get all the jewels, leaving you with $4.5M. Cut 14 per cent.
When selected, during the heist, he loses a lot of diamonds, taking down the overall take in the Smart approach to around $4.5 M and in the Loud approach, one of the hostages attempts to escape, and Michael is forced to deal with them. 7% cut.
The player will have 90 seconds to grab the jewels if picked. Cut of 15 per cent.
The player will have 60 seconds to grab the jewels if picked. Split of 8 per cent.
If selected, the player will only have 50 seconds to catch all the jewels. Cut 4 per cent.
