How to Get Gold in GTA 5 Mission “Daddy’s Little Girl”
In this video, we will be walking you through the eighth mission in Grand Theft Auto 5, “Daddy’s Little Girl”. We’ll be meeting some of Tracey’s friends and learning about different transport types. Our goal is to get gold in this mission, which can be a little tricky. We’ll need to make sure we don’t fall off the bike, top out the jet ski, and swim to the boat in less than 60 seconds.
As we skip the cutscene and jump straight into the action, we head down the stairs and out, and then jump into our car. Once we’re in and Jimmy’s in of course, we follow the GPS down to Vespucci Beach. We pull up to the left and see the little marker just past the car. We jump out and head over to the kiosk with the bikes. What we want to do is make sure we grab the racing bike on the end, as it gives us a distinct advantage in gearing and makes it a lot easier to get through this one. We jump on and wait for Michael to put his helmet on, and then start cycling.
As we look at the top left for the cycling controls, we want to line ourselves up after this corner and just give it a quick couple of taps to pick up the pace. That will leave Jimmy more or less in our dust, and we can follow the GPS along the trail, making sure we don’t hit the sand because that will slow us down. We head on to the main walkway, making sure we don’t collect any pedestrians because they will get upset and we may knock them off the bike. We can press the horn button to get the bell working too, if we really feel like getting people out of the way in a hurry.
We head up the ramp on the left, which will get us onto the boardwalk. Through there, up the next ramp, and then as we turn left, we absolutely hammer it. We start smashing that sprint button, and that’ll get us pushing through, but we need to watch out for vehicles as we’re popping out and for people. This is just to make sure that Jimmy is well and truly in our dust, so that we don’t get overtaken at the very last second. We scroll in, head towards the marker, and we have won the race.
The next step is for us to jump in the water, which is really tricky because we only have 60 seconds to dive in and start hammering the sprint button again. We want to stay just below the surface here somewhere, where we can surface easily when we start running out of oxygen. We definitely want to swim below the surface because even though it doesn’t feel right, it is in fact quicker to swim below the surface than on it, especially in the choppy weather that we have at the moment. We keep hammering that sprint button until we get all the way to the yacht, just popping up to take a breath when we absolutely have to and then diving down immediately afterwards.
We climb up the ladder and then up the stairs and into the next cutscene, which we’ll skip again for the sake of expediency. We start taking control of the jet skiing in the next scene, head towards the slip, and into the tunnel. At this point, we don’t worry about our pursuers. We just want to get through the tunnel and into the little private estate with the fancy houses. As we pop out of the tunnel, we want to head to the left. One of the pursuers will separate off, and the other one will go a different way. This gives us a chance to take one out without too much risk to ourselves.
As we head down to the channel and then around to the right, we see the next pursuer. We grab the gun out and start lighting them up. Once we’ve taken him out, we back it up and get going again. We head back to the beach, and as we head through this little private estate, we hang it right. We can use the smooth water to make sure that we get the jet ski’s top speed, which takes care of the last bit of gold on this challenge.
Once we reach the beach, Tracy jumps off and has a bit of a chat with Jimmy and then exposition. Some neat bits and pieces about this mission include: Tracy can’t take bullet damage from our pursuers, both Jimmy and Tracy write Life Invader posts about their eventful day, and you can see Michael sweating as you ride up the Vespucci Beach.
