Getting gold in this one is pretty straightforward, but is a little sad, given how much time we’ve spent getting to know the De Santa’s. All we have to do, is kill Michael.

Know any neat mods we could use to do a bit more exploration in Lost Santos, or North Yankton? Leave your suggestions in the comments.
Despite having rescued both of them, Steve Haines and Dave Norton had previously given Franklin the task of killing Trevor Philips because he was a liability. After, Devin Weston turns up at Franklin’s house and orders him to kill Michael De Santa for Molly’s death and his inability to kill his family because he is now a liability. Following Devin’s exit, the player is given three choices on his phone: Kill Trevor (A), Kill Michael (B), or Deathwish (C). Choosing B takes him on this quest and instructs him to contact Michael.
Franklin calls Trevor to see if he can help him kill Michael after choosing Option B, but Trevor declines, angry at Franklin’s deception of Michael and claiming that he has had enough traitors in his life; before hanging up, he assures Franklin that he and Michael “deserve each other.” Franklin encounters Michael in a field of satellite dishes off Route 68 outside of Los Santos, where Michael reflects on how their relationship has strengthened his bond with his family and that he is employed in his dream career, and he is also told that Tracey has made it into college through a phone call. Franklin then seeks to sway Michael’s decision by focusing on their previous encounters and convincing him that he loves him and will sacrifice anything for him, but Michael soon discovers he’s been sent to kill him and gets into his car, with Franklin firing at him, setting off a chase down the railway lines.
After multiple shoot-outs, Franklin pursues Michael up the scaffolding to one of the chimney walkways at the Palmer-Taylor Power Station. Michael shares his frustration with his decision, saying Franklin was “like a son” to him. They then get into a brief altercation, with Michael sharing his displeasure with his decision and commenting on how he was the only good guy in his life, while Franklin counters by claiming he was only ever Michael’s “b**ch.” Franklin drives Michael backwards, allowing him to slip off the rail and be held only by Franklin. Franklin begins to reconsider his choices, but Michael objects and wishes he had killed him earlier. Franklin has the choice of dragging Michael up or making him plunge to his death; but, if he tries to pick Michael up, Michael will headbutt Franklin, allowing him to lose his hold. Michael falls to his death in any case, dying immediately as soon as he hits the ground.
