Know any neat mods we could use to do a bit more exploration in Lost Santos, or North Yankton? Leave your suggestions in the comments.
Steve Haines and Dave Norton had once tasked Franklin with murdering Trevor Philips, despite having rescued them all, because he was a liability. After, Devin Weston turns up at Franklin’s house and orders Franklin to kill Michael De Santa for the death of Molly and his inability to kill Michael’s family, that he was still a liability. On his mobile phone, Kill Trevor (A), Kill Michael (B), or Deathwish (A), Franklin is offered a selection of three choices after Devin leaves (C). Choosing A leads to this mission and gets Trevor to name him.
Franklin calls Trevor after picking option A and asks him to meet him at the oil field off El Burro Heights. Franklin calls Michael on the way there, tells him about the situation, and asks if he can help; Michael hesitates, saying it “sounds like [Franklin’s] thing” but insists he’s going to see what he can do.
Trevor laments at El Burro Heights how Michael backstabbed him and how he and Franklin became friends, only to see Franklin aim a gun on him, claiming that he was the mad man, not Michael or Franklin, and that he would most likely end up shooting all three of them. Baffled, Trevor reflects about how Franklin has done nothing except be truthful; Franklin acknowledges the fact, but does not let the gun down, stating that what he is interested in is not the facts.
Betrayed again, in his truck, Trevor tries to run, driving through the city and finally the oil fields, with Franklin following him. Michael calls Franklin and informs him he’s nearby, then he appears in a stolen prime minister and rams into Trevor’s vehicle, causing Trevor to crash into a gas tanker, smash it up, and flood Trevor with gas. Trevor crawls away from the vehicle, both physically and emotionally, shattered, and remarks how he thought he was with one “Judas,” but he is now surrounded by them. He needs to be laid down and nowhere to go and with fuel pouring from the truck and pooling around him, where Franklin then fires the petrol that burns Trevor. He’s burning to death, and then the whole tank explodes. Michael will fire Trevor instead if Franklin hesitates.
Michael and Franklin are talking on how mad Trevor was and what contributed to his death was this relentless craziness. Shortly after, they break up until Franklin sarcastically observes the incident as “certainly an education,” which Michael counters by asking him to endure, because everything that is “bullshit.” They then walk away from each other as the credits roll in with a city view.
