Grand Theft Auto is a truly massive game. Between GTA 5 and the constant updates from Rockstar for GTA Online; there’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do.

Join me, then, in our continuing series, getting gold in every damn mission, in GTA 5 as we look at Dom’s Grand Theft Auto parachute jump 8 of 13; Runaway Train.

Before we dive in; if you’re new to the channel, we do How To Guides, News and Giveaways; So consider subscribing and ringing the bell, to stay up-to-date.

100%’ing this jump is pretty straight forward; with the critical factor being that you need to hit dead centre of the target. Even a few inches off will drop your percentage and first-time bonus.

The good thing is, though; you can re-try as many times as you like without affecting your score.

So to start this one, we’ll need to make our way to Raton Canyon (again). You’ll see it marked on the map.

Know any neat mods we could use to do a bit more exploration in Lost Santos, or North Yankton? Leave your suggestions in the comments.

In Raton Canyon, the player encounters a Maverick who is waiting for him. The Maverick transports the player to a vantage point above the gorge, by the nearby railroad lines.

The player must parachute into a train that is travelling south to north on the rails. After completing the game, the player would have the opportunity to ride the train (which eventually loops into Los Santos; bear this in mind of playing as Trevor or Michael and the exile is still in effect). Regardless of the train’s pace, jumping off safely is normally feasible.

This parachute leap is unavailable between the missions Derailed and Hang Ten due to the train crash.

The parachute jumps are actually categorised into two subcategories: Base Jumps and Helicopter Jumps, despite the fact that there is little hint or differentiation anywhere in the game. Each sort of jump counts against 100% completion in its own way; for example, completing all Helicopter Jumps counts as one hobby and pastime, whereas Base Jumps count as another.

If the player has completed Dom Beasley’s Strangers and Freaks project Risk Assessment, parachute jumps become accessible. The player must parachute and land in a clear target for each jump. Few tasks enable the player to stop at specific checkpoints along the way to the destination, while others do not. No leap necessitates the player free falling for some amount of time; in fact, most jumps enable the player to deploy his parachute as soon as possible. The player receives a cash prize for each good leap depending on a variety of criteria, such as how near the player landed in the middle of the mark, how many check points the player reached, and so on. While the jumps may be repeated for cash, after the first good try, the incentives decline dramatically.

While any character can perform the parachute jumps, only Franklin can initiate the Uncalculated Risk task that follows their completion. Franklin, on the other hand, would get a special greeting from the helicopter pilot because of his experience with Dom.

hi in this video we’re going through how to get
gold in the gta 5 parachute jump 8 of 13 runaway train
hi and welcome back my name’s Dan and i’m an old grumpy gamer grand theft auto is a truly

runaway train before we dive in if you’re new to the channel we do how-to guides
news and giveaways so consider subscribing ring the bell to stay up to date 100 in this
one is pretty straightforward with the critical factor being that you need to hit dead center of
the target even a few inches off will drop your percentage and first time bonus the good thing is
though you can retry this as many times as you like without affecting your score so to start
this one we’ll need to make our way to ratton canyon again you’ll see it marked on the map
here oh and while i remember this jump is not available between derailed
and hang 10 due to trevor causing a train wreck so let’s pick it up as we’re about to make the leap
that’s quite a view up in the chopper there which is absolutely fantastic you can see the rail line
there with the train on approach hopefully fairly soon so when you’re ready pull the trigger jump
you can do a quick dive but don’t spend too long in the air so we’ll just pull the chute
and then wait for that train to come along hopefully it’ll be there soon
there it is all right and we can just land anywhere in the train but there
are a couple of empty spots there which are quite nice we’ll just take a bit of a dive
slow it down a bit and we’ll pitch for this nice empty container there we go
that one’s pretty straightforward got it first go so it’s 100 and 200 for our trouble
now you can jump off here you’ll be stranded absolutely in the middle of nowhere so what
i recommend is waiting to the other side of the tunnel before you hop off the train
and that pops you back at the lumber mill where we caught up with lamar and a few friends before
and also a few races have started from there and that will give you access to a cast it’s a
bit easier to get going and get back to where you need to be so what are your thoughts do you have
any tips for other viewers or could this have been done differently leave your comment down
below and check out the video on the left for the next jump or the one on the right for some
more old grumpy game of goodness stay safe wash your hands and we’ll see you in the next video
