Getting Gold in GTA 5 Parachute Jump 8/13 Runaway Train
Grand Theft Auto 5 is a massive game with no shortage of new content and updates to explore. In this video, we will be continuing our series of getting gold in every mission in GTA 5 as we look at Dom’s Grand Theft Auto Parachute Jump 8/13 Runaway Train.
Before we dive into the details, we should note that this mission is pretty straightforward, but you need to hit dead center of the target to get a perfect score. Even being a few inches off center can drop your percentage and first-time bonus. But don’t worry; you can retry this mission as many times as you like without affecting your score.
Starting the Mission
To start this mission, you will need to make your way to Ratton Canyon, which is marked on the map. However, please note that this jump is not available between Derailed and Hang 10 due to Trevor causing a train wreck.
Making the Leap
Once you reach Ratton Canyon, hop into the chopper, and head towards the rail line, where the train is on approach. When you’re ready, pull the trigger and jump. You can do a quick dive, but make sure you don’t spend too long in the air. Then, pull the chute and wait for the train to come along.
Landing on the Train
When the train arrives, you need to land at the dead center of the target. The good news is that the train provides several empty spots where you can land. You can take a bit of a dive to slow down a bit and pitch towards an empty container. Once you land in the middle of the train, you’ll get 100 points and an additional 200 points for your trouble.
Completing the Mission
You can jump off the train from where you landed, but that would leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. Instead, we recommend waiting for the other side of the tunnel before hopping off the train. When you get off the train, you’ll be back at the lumber mill where you previously caught up with Lamar and his friends, and where several races have started. This area provides easy access to a cast that will help you get back to where you need to be.
Final Thoughts
Getting a perfect score in GTA 5 Parachute Jump 8/13 Runaway Train may seem daunting, but it’s easy if you follow the guide. Make sure to hit the target dead center and practice if required.
