Speculation on What You’ll Need for the GTA 5 Online 2022 Summer DLC
With the 2022 summer DLC drop fast approaching, it’s time to look at what you’ll probably need to have handy in Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) Online. Rockstar constantly updates GTA Online, and there’s no shortage of new content and interesting things to do. This article will do a bit of speculation on what you’ll likely need for the GTA 5 Online 2022 Summer DLC.
Rumors have been circulating that we’ll be looking at a movie-focused DLC, featuring Michael De Santa from story mode. Michael is the crew’s resident trigger man and a bit of a movie buff. Other characters we interact with from story mode are Ron, the pilot with the hanger business; Trevor, the head of a drug empire with his missions centering around illicit substances; and Franklin, the will man with The Contract DLC which had a bunch of hot land-based vehicles. Considering all of these characters, it’s likely that we’ll end up with a movie set focused series of missions with a particular emphasis on gunplay. So, we may see a few new vehicles, but most likely some new weapons. The story around the DLC will probably be largely a solo affair, especially considering how the last few solo releases have been received by the community. In addition, with the success of these short trips, we may see a new game mode or two – hopefully, something where we can take control of Michael, Amanda, or even Solomon Richards.
Preparing for the Next DLC
If this speculation turns out to be accurate, you’ll likely need to prep for the next DLC. The first thing we’d suggest is maxing your shooting if you’ve not done so already. That means some time at the shooting range or down the end of Del Perro Pier. If you’re unsure of what to do, there’s a link to a video in the description that will take you through the fastest way to max your shooting stat.
As always, money is an important factor, so you’ll need to have a significant amount saved up. But, we have no idea how much is needed for the upcoming DLC. So let’s take a look at what worked for the last few DLC’s:
Previous GTA DLC’S Entry Points and Costs
- The Cayo Perico Heist DLC Entry Point: $2.4 million (Kraken Torador and all of the extras for the sub and the vehicles cost around $20 million)
- The Los Santos Tuners DLC Entry Point: $1.9 million
- The Contract DLC Entry Point: $2.2 million (buying absolutely everything from that DLC was at least $30 million)
Keep in mind that these amounts include buying many things that may not be necessary for the upcoming DLC. With that in mind, we suspect that to buy absolutely everything, we’ll probably need somewhere around $40 to $45 million, but that’s just ridiculous. Realistically, we think you’ll be able to get started at around $2.5 million, but if you can scrape together six million or more, you’ll probably be in a much better position. But again, this is all speculation, and there’s no solid indication of what’s happening from Rockstar.
In conclusion, with rumors circulating of a new movie-focused DLC, it would be wise to max out the shooting stat and save up a significant amount of money. While there’s no official word yet from Rockstar, we hope that this article has given you some ideas on what to expect and how to prepare for the GTA 5 Online 2022 Summer DLC.
